Guidelines for Applicants
In order to obtain accurate
information for your test we have compiled a list of guidelines we
suggest.
- Fast for 6 to 8 Hours prior to
your appointment
- Limit salt
and high cholesterol foods 25 hours prior to the exam
- Avoid
strenous exercise 12 hours prior to the exam
- Refrain
from drinking alcoholic beverages for at least 12 hours prior to your
appointment
- Limit
caffeine and nicotine intake one hour prior to the appointment
- Drink an 8
ounce glass of water one hour prior to the appointment
- Provide the
names and dosages of all medications you are currently taking. Include
vitamins and minerals or any supplements.
- Provide any
history problem associated with providing blood or urine samples.
- Have
current health insurance information with you.
- Get a good
night sleep prior to the exam
- Women,
please mention to
the examiner when making your appointment if you will be menstruating
at the time so that a better time may be arranged
- Have
available names, addresses and phone numbers of any physician or clinic
you may have visited in the last 5 years.
